Lumber company

The industrial complex 'Lukri LTD' is located in the city of Asino, which is about 100km north of the city of Tomsk in the Tomsk Region in western Siberia. About 27 % of the growing stock of wood resources in western Siberia is found in this region. Sawmill production utilizes German manufactured equipment. The raw material supply consists of fresh-cut wood from a winter harvesting program. The sawmill production program consists of two co-ordinated processes:
· manufacture of lumber (edged and un-edged, squares).
· secondary processing (profiled and joinery products).
The following is a summary of the production process:
1. Manufacture of saw-timbers (lumber):
The manufacturing equipment involved is the following:
· Two horizontal band sawmills ' Аugust Nobis ', processing 25 м3 of raw logs each per shift.
· 'Esterer' Sash Gang Saw, processing 50 - 80 м3 of raw logs per shift.
· 'Paul' Gang-Rip Saw, processing 30 м3 of cants per shift.
· Small-diameter log processing equipment with a production capability of 50 - 80 м3 of raw logs per shift.
· two trim saws processing 30 м3 of sawn lumber per shift.
· 'Vollmer' sharpening equipment consisting of five machine tools for band saws.
· Sharpening equipment for circular saws.The manufacturing equipment involved is the following:
· "'Weinig" planer molder, with a production rate of 8-16 м3 of finished material per shift.
The species utilized are Red Pine, Korean Pine, Larch, Aspen:

The characteristics of the above-stated equipment provide for the manufacture of 100 to 150 м3 of profiled products per shift. All products have a moisture content of 8- 12 %, and lengths of 2000, 2500, 3000, 5500, 6000 mm; maximum thickness - 130 mm, maximum width - 170 mm. A wide range of finished products are possible. The planer/molder is also utilized to produce a surfaced material, both lumber and squares, with a moisture content of 8-12 %, with maximum dimensions of 130х170 mm.
